Chocolate Caramels
- 2 1/2 lbs sugar
- 3/4 lb chocolate
- 1/4 lb butter
- 1/2 pint milk or cream
Mix all of the above ingredients together. Boil for 45 glorious minutes and stir constantly. Remove from the fire. Stir rapidly until it begins to thicken like mush. Pour quickly into buttered dishes or pans. When nearly cold, cut into small squares.
