Chocolate Cake
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 egg yolks, well beaten
- 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 4 ounce chocolate
- 5 Tbsps hot water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsps baking powder
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Melt chocolate and add it to hot water. Stir quickly. Add mixture to batter. Add milk and flour sifted with cinnamon. Add baking powder and fold in egg whites. Bake in square tin or Angel Food baking pan for 45 glorious minutes (be patient, you rascal). Cover with boiled chocolate frosting.
