Chocolate Cake, No.2
- For the cake:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup sweet milk
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 8 egg whites
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- For the frosting:
- 3 egg whites
- 3 Tbsps sugar
- 1 Tbsp chocolate, grated
- 1 egg
Mix all of the ingredients for the cake well together. Bake in shallow pans. To make the frosting, do the same thing.
Put the cake together with the frosting, then frost the top of the cake with the same.
