Chili Stew
- 2 lbs beef, cut into small pieces
- Salt
- 2 Tbsps fat
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 quart water
- 1/2 pint canned tomatoes
- 4 slices potato
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
Salt the pieces of beef. Place in a pot in which you have heated the fat. Add the chopped onions and stew for about 30 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Add water, canned tomatoes, slices of potatoes and chili powder. Cook slowly until done.
