Cheese Toast
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 3 Tbsps flour
- Salt and cayenne
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup grated cheese
- Slices of buttered toast
Make the toast first. Keep it hot while preparing the sauce. Melt the butter. Add the flour and blend smoothly. Season. Put in the milk, a little at a time, stirring constantly. After cooking for 5 minutes, put in the cheese. When melted, pour atop the toast. Place in a hot oven at 400°F for 5 minutes before serving.
