Cheese Toast
- Boston brown bread, toasted & buttered
- White sauce (see White Sauce for Creamed Meats, Fish, Vegetables & Toast recipe)
- Paprika
- Cheese, grated
Make enough white sauce to cover the toast well, using paprika instead of pepper. When the sauce bubbles, add 1/2 cup of grated cheese to each cup of sauce. Remove from the fire at once. Pour over the buttered toast. Serve very hot.
