Charlotte Russe
- 3/4 package of gelatin
- 12 ounces milk
- 1 1/2 pint milk
- 3/4 lb sugar
- 8 egg yolks
- Vanilla extract
- 1 quart cream, whipped to a froth
Soak the gelatin in 12 ounces of milk.
Make a custard of 1 1/2 pint of milk, sugar and egg yolks. When it has boiled, add the gelatin. Flavor with vanilla. When it begins to congeal, stir in the whipped cream.
