Carrot Soup

  • 2 cups carrots, boiled until soft
  • 1 cup onions, chopped and cooked until soft
  • 1 dessertspoonful butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch mixed with water
  • 1 quart milk
  • Lettuce, cut in thin strips
Put boiled carrots through colander. Mix with the rest of the ingredients (except for lettuce) and cook together for a few minutes, Just before serving, add the lettuce.
