Caramels
- 1/2 lb brown sugar
- 1/2 cake sweet chocolate, grated
- 1 pint cream
Put the brown sugar, grated chocolate and cream all together in a stew pan. Boil for about half an hour.
Test it by dropping from a spoon into cold water. When it is crisp, it is done.
Pour into buttered tin pans. When nearly cold, mark it into small squares with a knife.
