Caper Sauce
- 3 ounces butter
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 1/2 pint boiling water
- Salt
- Capers, chopped
- 1 Tbsp caper vinegar
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Slowly stir in the flour. Add boiling water, a little salt, caper vinegar and chopped capers. Use 2 ounces of capers to half a pint of sauce.
Stir on the stove until it thickens. If too thick, add a moderate amount of more water. Boil up and serve in a sauce boat.
