Canned Strawberries
- 1 lb strawberries
- 3/4 lb sugar
Put the strawberries and sugar into a large, flat dish and allow to stand for about 3 hours. Draw off the juice and put into a preserving pan. Allow to come to a boil, removing the scum as it rises. Put in the berries and let them come to a boil. Transfer into warm bottles and seal quickly.
