Cake That Cannot Fail
- 1 lb sugar
- 1 lb flour
- 3/4 lb butter, melted
- 8 eggs
- 4 ounces sweet cream
- 2 tsps cream of tartar, sifted in the flour
- 1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in a little water & added to the cream
Add the baking soda to the cream. Add the melted butter to the eggs. Mix the sugar and cream of tartar with the flour. Mix all together and pour into a well greased pan. Bake.
