Cake Pudding

  • Small sponge cakes
  • Butter
  • Marmalade or preserves
  • Cake
  • Custard
Lay small sponge cakes around a moderate sized baking dish, split and buttered on both sides. Spread them with marmalade or preserves on the inside.

Put pieces of cake in the center of the dish, buttered and spread with preserves on both sides.

Leave room for the custard. Pour over the pudding before baking.

Serve hot with hot sauce.
