Buckwheat Cakes
- 1/2 pint buckwheat flour
- 1/4 pint corn meal
- 1/4 pint wheat flour
- Pinch of salt
- 2 eggs, beaten very light
- 1 quart milk
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsps yeast
- Baking soda
Heat up the milk a little warm and mix with the eggs. Mix in all the other ingredients. Set it to rise up at night for the morning. If in the least sour, stir in before baking just enough baking soda to correct the acidity.
