Brunswick Stew

  • 1 chicken or 2 squirrels
  • 1/2 gallon water
  • 1/2 dozen large tomatoes
  • 1/2 pint butter beans
  • 1/2 dozen ears of grated corn
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter
Cut up the chicken or squirrels and put into 1/2 gallon of water. Let it stew until the bones can be removed. Add the tomatoes, butter beans and grated corn. Season with salt, pepper and butter.
