Brunswick Stew
- 2-3 slices of bacon
- 2 squirrels or chicken
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 gallon water
- 1 quart tomatoes
- 2 ears grated corn
- 3 Irish potatoes, sliced
- 1 handful butter beans
- Pod of red pepper
- 1 spoonful bread crumbs
- 1 large spoonful butter
About 4 hours before dinner, put on the bacon, squirrel or chicken and sliced onion into 1 gallon of water. Stew f (or a little more)me time and then add the tomatoes, grated corn, sliced potatoes, butter beans and part of a pod of red pepper. Stew for about 1 hour more until you can take out the bones. When done, put in the bread crumbs and butter.
