Brown Sauce

  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • Butter
  • Mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
Fry the sliced onion in butter until it is brown. Cover the onion with brown gravy left from roast beef. Add mustard, pepper and salt and if your little heart desires, Worcestershire sauce. Let the mixture boil and if too thick, thin it with a little stock or gravy or even a little hot water with butter. Pour when done through a fine sieve.
