Broiled Oysters

  • 1 quart oysters
  • Butter, melted
  • Egg, beaten
  • Bread or cracker crumbs
  • Pepper
Dry the oysters on paper towels.
Dip each in melted butter, well peppered.
Then dip in the beaten egg, then in bread or cracker crumbs, also peppered.
Broil on a grill over live coals for 3-5 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
Dip over each a little melted butter.
Serve hot.
