Broiled Chicken on Toast
- Broiled chicken
- Butter
- Pepper
- Salt
- 1 cup cream or milk
- Buttered toast
Put the broiled chicken in a square pan or dripping pan. Butter it well and season with pepper and salt. Set in the oven for a few minutes (be patient, you rascal).
Lay slices of moistened buttered toast on a platter. Put the chicken over it.
Add to the gravy in the pan part of a cup of cream, if available; if not, use milk. Thicken with a little flour. Pour over the chicken.
