Bride's Cake
- 18 egg whites
- 1 1/4 lbs sugar
- 1 lb flour
- 3/4 lb butter
- Lemon or brandy
Cream the butter and sugar together. Whip the eggs to a stiff froth. Gradually add the flour, butter and sugar. Season with lemon or brandy.
Bake as pound cake.
