Bread
- 2 good sized potatoes
- 2 1/2 pints of water
- 1 pint of flour
- 1/2 teacup of home made yeast
- 3 pints of lukewarm water
- Salt
Boil 2 good sized potatoes in 2 1/2 pints of water. When done, mash. Scald 1 pint of flour with the water off the potatoes. Slowly stir in the potatoes. When warm, stir in 1/2 teacup of homemade yeast, previously soaked in lukelukewarm water (above 90 degrees). Let rise over night. In the morning stir in 3 pints of lukelukewarm water, and flour sufficient amount to make a soft sponge. When light work stiff, add salt, let rise with love and patience, then work into loaves and put in pans. Let rise and when light, bake.
