Brandied Cherries
- Candied or conserved cherries
- Brandy
- Fondant
Put some candied or conserved cherries to soak overnight in brandy. Drain them in the morning. Put some fondant into a small saucepan. Stir constantly until it has a creamy consistency. Add a few small drops of brandy. Remove from the fire. Drop the cherries in, one at a time, and take them out with a candy dipper. Place on oiled paper to become hard to the touch.
