Boller
- 4 Tbsps butter
- 2 1/2 ounces flour
- 1/4 pint boiling water
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
Bring the butter and water to a boil. Slowly stir in the flour. Bring to a boil again. Remove from the fire when it leaves the kettle. When well cooled, stir in the eggs, one at a time, together with the spices. Form into small balls with a teaspoon. Let it simmer over a slow fire in boiling broth or boiling, salted water for 5 minutes in an open pot.
