Boiled Peas with Butter
- 1 quart shelled peas
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp butter
Put the shelled peas in a stew pan and add enough boiling water to cover them generously. When they begin to boil, lower the heat where the water will bubble gently. When tender, add salt and butter. Cook for approximately ten minutes longer.
If the peas are not the sweet kind, add 1 tsp of sugar.
