Boiled Parsnips

  • Parsnips
  • Salt
  • Melted butter
Wash, clean and split the parsnips. Put into a pot of boiling water. Add a little salt and boil until quite tender. It should take 2-3 hours, depending on their size. Dry them in paper towels when done. Pour melted butter or white sauce over them in the dish. Serve them up with any kind of boiled meat or with salt cod.
