Boiled Dressing, II
- 1 1/2 Tbsps mustard
- 2 Tbsps salt
- 2 1/2 Tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 2 or 3 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1 cup sweet or sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup vinegar
Heat vinegar. Mix dry ingredients and add butter and cream. Beat eggs until very light and thick. Add mixture to eggs and pour into the hot vinegar in a double boiler. Cook like custard stirring constantly. When fairly thick, remove from fire and stir for 5 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
