Boiled Custard
- 1 quart of milk
- 6 eggs well
- 1/4 pound of sugar
- Nutmeg
Boil one quart of milk; beat six eggs well with a quarter of a pound of sugar. Mix the milk and eggs, and then let it cool awhile; set it on the stove til it becomes of the thickness of cream; add a moderate amount of nutmeg.
