Boiled Corn Meal Pudding, without Eggs
- 1 quart boiling milk
- 1 1/2 pint Indian meal
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup chopped suet
- 1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in a little water
Stir the rest of the ingredients into the boiling milk. Mix all together through and through. Tie it up tight in a cloth, allowing room for the pudding to swell. Boil for 4 hours. Serve with sweet sauce.
