Boiled Bread Pudding
- 1/2 lb bread crumbs
- 2 ounces powdered loaf sugar
- 1 pint hot milk
- 2 ounces currants
- 1 ounce candied peel, cut very small
- 3 eggs
Mix the bread crumbs and sugar. Heat up the milk and pour atop the bread crumbs and sugar. When nearly cold, add the other ingredients. Boil in a mold for 2 hours or steam for 3 hours. Serve with lemon sauce.
