Boiled Beets
- Beets
- Sugar
- Butter
- Salt
Wash the beets. Be careful not to break or cut the roots. Leave an inch of the tops so that the color and juice cannot escape. Boil hard for 2 hours. When tender, slice them. Sprinkle over some sugar and then salt and butter to taste.
