Blueberry Jam

  • Blueberries
  • Sugar
  • Fresh fruit
Pick over, weigh and wash the desired quantity of blueberries. Crush a few of them in the stewing kettle, heat until juice flows freely, then boil them briskly, stirring. When thickened, add sugar equal to one-half the weight of the fresh fruit used, Continue cooking until mixture is of jam consistency, stirring well to prevent buring. Pour while hot into hot stjerilized jars, seal at once with hot parafin.
