Blanc-mange
- 1/2 box gelatin
- Cold water
- 1 quart cream
- 1 pint milk
- 1/2 lb sugar, sifted
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Soak the gelatin in enough cold water to cover it. Bring the cream and milk together to a boil. Add the gelatin. Let it boil gently for a few minutes, then add the sifted sugar and vanilla extract. Give a boil up and pour into molds.
This quantity makes 2 medium sized forms.
Serve with cream.
