Blackberry Wine
- Blackberries
- Boiling water
- Sugar
Measure the berries and bruise them. Add 1 quart of boiling water to every gallon. Let it stand for 24 hours, stirring occasionally. Strain off the liquor into a cask, adding 2 pounds of sugar to every gallon of liquor. Cork tightly and let it stand until the following October, when it will be ready for use without further boiling or straining.
