Blackberry Pudding

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • A little cloves
  • A little cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in a little of the milk
  • 1 quart blackberries, floured
Mix all of the ingredients well together. Slowly stir in the floured blackberries last. Boil in a heavily buttered mold for 2 hours. Serve with brandy sauce.
