Blackberry Jelly

  • Blackberries
  • Sifted sugar
Mash the berries and squeeze the juice from them through a cloth or jelly bag. For every pint of juice, add a pound of sifted sugar. Put all together on the stove and boil for 20 minutes, skimming well.

Fill the glasses. Set aside until the next day, then cover and paste up.
