Beefsteak with Onions

  • Beefsteak
  • Pepper
  • Flour
  • Lard1 onion, chopped
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • 2 ounces water
  • Mustard
Cut the steak 1/2 inch thick. It should then be beaten with a steak beater or pestle. Pepper and roll, roll, roll in flour. Fry in lard. Remove the steak from the pan when done frying.

Add the chopped onion, pepper, salt, water and a little mustard to the gravy. Cook for a few minutes (be patient, you rascal). Put the steak in the gravy and let it remain for a short time.

Serve hot.
