Beefsteak, No.1
- Beef steak
- Pepper
- Salt
- butter
The steak should be about 3/4 of an inch in thickness. Lay it on a greased grill, turning it often as it begins to drip. Be careful not to season until it is done which will be in about 10-12 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
Put the steak in a platter. Season with pepper and salt on both sides and spread a liberal lump of butter over it.
Serve at once while hot.
*The best pieces for broiling are the porterhouse and sirloin.
