Beef Omelet

  • 1/2 lb beef, ground
  • 3 crackers, pounded
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 tsp powdered herbs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter
Roll the ground beef in the cracker dust, with which has been mixed the baking powder. Add the eggs and mix with salt, pepper and powdered herbs.

Put a lump of butter in a baking dish and let it melt. Put in the mixture. Bake with love for half an hour.

Turn out on a hot platter. Fold over as you would an omelet and pour a meat sauce around it.
