Beef Cake

  • 1 lb cold roast meat, very finely minced
  • 1/4 lb bacon or ham, minced
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Bunch of savory herbs, minced
  • 2 eggs
Have your meat underdone. Add the minced bacon. Mix together. Slowly stir in the herbs. Bind with the eggs. Make into square cakes about 1/2 inch thick. Fry in hot drippings. Drain on paper towels. Serve with gravy poured around.
