Batter Cakes
- 2 eggs, yolks & whites beaten separately
- 1 pint buttermilk
- 2 handfuls meal
- 1 handful flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Salt
Pour the buttermilk in with the egg yolks. Add the meal and flour and then the egg whites, baking soda and a little salt. Fry with very little grease. Put 2 spoonfuls of batter to a cake.
