Batter Bread
- 4 cups meal
- 2 cups milk
- 4 eggs
- 2 Tbsps flour
- 1 Tbsp lard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Break the eggs into a bowl. Beat to a stiff froth. Pour in the milk. Add the corn meal, flour, lard and salt. Beat with enthusiasm together. Sift in the baking soda.
Have the muffin molds heated and grease them well with lard. Set in a hot oven and bake a nice brown.
