Barley Water
- 3 Tbsps pearl barley
- Salt
- 2 tsps white sugar
Wash the barley. Soak for half an hour in very little lukelukewarm water (above 90 degrees). Stir, without draining, into 2 cups of boiling water, salted very little. Simmer for about an hour, stirring often. Strain. Add the white sugar.
