Barbecued Oysters
- 1 dozen large oysters
- Pepper
- 1 dozen thin slices of bacon
Drain the oysters. Dust them over with pepper. Put a slice of bacon then an oyster and bacon and so on, alternating, on an iron skewer. Roast in a very hot oven at 450°F until the bacon begins to crisp. Serve hot in a covered dish.
