Baked Salt Herring

  • Herrings
  • Flour
  • Butter
  • Pepper
Soak the fish overnight.

When ready to cook, roll in flour and butter. Place in a dripping pan with very little water over them. Season with pepper.

Put in the oven, basting frequently.
