Baked Potatoes and Onions
- Potatoes, pared and split
- 1 tablespoon finely minced onion
- vegetable fat or butter
- salt, pepper, and sage
Cover a shallow pan with fat or butter, 1/8 inch deep. Add onion, and lay potatoes on onion. Dot with butter, season, fill pan with water, and bake.
