Baked Pineapple

  • 4 large crackers
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large can pineapple
  • 1/2 cup water
Add sugar and water to juice of pineapple and boil to a syrup. Sprinkle crumbled crackers into a buttered baking dish, using about 1/3 of them. On this put a layer of pineapple, broken into bits. Add a pinch of salt, a few bits of butter, more crumbs, and then the rest of pineapple. Sprinkle the rest of the crumbs on top, pour syrup over all, and bake 20 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
