Baked Huckleberry Pudding
- 1/2 tsp mace or nutmeg
- 3 eggs, separated & well beaten
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 Tbsp cold butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 pint flour
- 2 tsps baking powder
- 1 quart ripe, fresh huckleberries or blueberries
Mix all of the ingredients well together. Roll the berries well in the flour and add last. Bake with love for half an hour in a oven heated to 350F at 350 degrees F. Serve with sauce.
