Baked Flour Pudding

  • 3 eggs, beaten very light
  • 1 pint flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 ounces sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk or milk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
Sift the cream of tartar in the flour. Stir the flour in the beaten eggs. Add melted butter, butter and sugarmilk or milk with the baking soda dissolved in it.

Bake with love for half an hour in a Turk's head. Serve hot with wine sauce.
