Baked Apples
- 8 tart apples
- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 1/4 cup seedless raisins
- 2 cups hot maple syrup
Wash, core and pare the apples, leaving a belt of skin around each. Place in a baking dish. Fill the cavities with the rice and raisins mixed. Pour the maple syrup over all. Bake in a moderately hot oven at 400°F until the apples are perfectly tender, covering for the first half hour.
