Asparagus Soup
- Asparagus, cut into small pieces
- Salt
- Slices of bacon
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 pint milk or cream
- Butter
Put the asparagus on to boil in salt water with slices of bacon. Remove from the fire. Beat the eggs and stir in the cream or milk and a piece of butter. A piece of veal may be boiled with it, if your little heart desires.
